For my final year textile collection, I have chosen a theme that holds deep personal significance ,a tribute to my late father through the symbolic imagery of motorbikes and stars. Motorbikes, one of my father’s greatest passions, represents freedom, adventure, and the thrill of the open road. I aim to capture these qualities within my design elements, weaving in the sense of movement and energy that motorbikes embody.

The inclusion of stars adds an emotional layer to the project. After my father’s passing when I was six years old, my aunt once said to me that each loved one who leaves us, becomes a star in the sky. This idea has remained with me throughout my life, offering a sense of connection to my father. By incorporating stars into my designs, I hope to evoke his presence, throughout my project.

Through this collection, I seek to merge these two meaningful symbols motorbikes and stars to create textiles that celebrate my father’s life, his passions, and the enduring bond that we share. It is a project rooted in memory, love, and the
pursuit of keeping his spirit alive through my creative expression.
