Drag Masks, Maskquerade-ary, highlights the creativity and artistry of her work as she explores the world of drag through unique and customized masks While also exploring the world of drag and gay culture, the sad reality of queer people feeling a need to hide within environments that should be safe for them came up quite a bit. Her masks are inspired by drag makeup looks and makeup excellence. The notion of placing a mask of “normality” or “heterosexuality” to feel safe or fit in with people that surround them.
