Magical Girl Cheering Emi

Magical Girl Cheering Emi paints a picture of helping the little guy, the people change things for the better even with great power.

Magical Girls are female young teen heroes who protect their territory, most commonly their home town against monsters. Veteran magical girl Emi has been solely slaying the monstrous Shriekings in her hometown. She decides that after years of fighting she’ll change her approach by helping people in her city. Now striving to finally expand her responsibilities past fighting, she’ll tackle the challenges and changes, that come with helping people in need, on equal ground. This is a trailer of a 2d magical girl show tackling social responsibility by helping ordinary people. It also pays respect as well as subverts both traditional and subversions of the magical girl genre.

This is an animation commissioned by The Hunt Museum that I made during my time in work placement. This was to be in the “Creepy Crawlies Love/Hate” Event. This animation was to educate kids on how bees collect pollen, how they spread pollen and how they made honey.
