Resonant Routes

Season: A/W 26/27

Resonant Routes draws from fragments of my childhood, particularly photographs taken in my father’s workshop—a space filled with metal and industrial materials that shaped the collection’s colour palette, fabrics, and silhouettes. In contrast, my maternal influence is woven through family heirlooms like bone china, porcelain dolls, and the display cabinets they lived in. This fusion creates a dialogue between strength and fragility, celebrating family, memory, and the legacy we carry forward.

I began by using collage to merge these opposing worlds. Pleather references the raw, metallic textures of the workshop, while cotton, organza, and duchess satin evoke softness and domesticity. The colour palette was inspired by an image showing household trinkets that had migrated into the workshop, blending with industrial surroundings. This shift in context reflects the theme of transformation and the merging of familial spaces. I digitally manipulated this image in Photoshop, drawing out deep browns, nude and white tones, metallic greys, and hints of magenta pink.

Throughout the design process, I increasingly turned to digital tools like Photoshop and CLO3D. These platforms allowed me to problem-solve efficiently and refine key details, offering greater flexibility and precision. The final outcome is a tactile yet digital exploration of memory, identity, and the unseen forces that shape our creative lineage.

Colonii and the Technology for Fashion Pathway - Collab

This project was a live industry brief between Colonii and the Technology for Fashion Pathway. It explores the intersection of creativity and artificial intelligence. The collection features a four-look lineup inspired by one of Colonii’s digital characters, “Grace”, drawing from her narrative and personality.

This project demonstrates how fashion can respond to virtual identities and speculative futures while remaining rooted in skill and commerciality .
