“Paracosm” is a multidimensional animated short directed and produced by Liam Reilly and Sam Woong.
How lucky are we to live in the age where technology is at its prime? But do we take a moment and realise that there may be negative aspects to the success?
“Paracosm” tells story of an ordinary couple Michael and Niamh whose relationship is being slowly damaged by technology. A.R.C Tech, a video gaming industry presents their new branded AR glasses. The state of the art A.R.C glasses has the features to blend the two worlds of reality and fantasy and allows the user to see their one’s true desires come through. The user may also interact with anything they see which elevates the user’s experience.
As a tech enthusiast, Michael had already purchased one. The delivery made by the company’s delivery drone was swift and before Michael knows it, he has gotten his hands on the overly sought after device. With no hesitation, he drops his daily housework and the glasses was on for his first AR experience. Blinded by his own desires, he is unaware of what is to come when Niamh comes home.
