My work explores the rich textures, colours, and forms found along ‘The Copper Coast’ of Co. Waterford.

Scratched, cracked, crusted, slimy and stringy – these often-overlooked textural details intersect with otherworldly colours – bright yellows, vibrant greens, rusty oranges – that nature has created, but that are often walked past without a thought.

Through my work, I aim to draw the viewer’s attention to this lost detail. To embrace the strange qualities that occur in the intermediate zone between land and sea. To relish the juxtapositions between the realistic and exaggerated qualities found all along this coastline, at Ring, Stradbally, Ardmore, Bunmahon, and Ballydowane.

To provide an opportunity to engage with nature instead of ignoring it.
