High King of Ireland

As an Irish, gay man, I want to investigate my sexuality and the role it played in the rural area I lived in. I am investigating the hyper masculinity of these areas and the effects it had on my upbringing. I aim to investigate Irish history and folklore and the strong role of masculinity within these stories. I aim to focus on Gaelic Ireland, investigating the role of men juxtaposed to Lad Culture of modern times.

I want to use reference to Gaelic Ireland as it was said by the Greek philosopher Aristotle that the Celts “openly approved of male lovers”.
