These textile and video pieces are the synthesis of my considerations of memory, temporality, emotion and the internal conscious streams that shape one’s identity. With my time here at LSAD as a focal point, it tells a narrative of my 4 years both inside and outside of the college. Perhaps this work could be considered an Ode to LSAD as I recall how lucky I felt to be here, I felt compelled to encapsulate these times while it was still fresh in my mind. Each year I experienced drastic changes in myself, growing, finding out who I am, accepting myself, flourishing and learning to love it all.
The work features major events mixed with the beautiful ordinary and mundane moments that are personal to me and my identity alone. I hope when people experience this work, they will find an emotive experience in the non-linear, non-conventical narratives I have presented.
