Body Eviscerated
A musical instrument is perceived as an object devised for purpose as an extension of the human body and cannot function without its other body. Through the process of manipulation and hybridization of musical instruments and electronic media, my work interrogates the utilitarian hegemony associated with composing music and causes a shift in the sensorium. The musical instrument is dislocated from traditional constructs and explores new possibilities.
