Katie O’Mahoney is a Limerick based artist, who is currently a student in her fourth-year of the sculpture and combined media at limerick school of art and design. Mainly working through the medium of photography. Her work focuses on themes of movement, the body and the everyday. This project uses photography to explore the artist’s personal relationship with movement and the body as a medium for creating art.
By capturing interactions between the body and everyday objects, the project highlights the expressive potential of the human body and celebrates the beauty of movements. The project aims to encourage viewers to appreciate the everyday physical interactions in their own lives and become more aware of the objects surrounding them
