The Big Lez Show - Sound Redesign
The project I chose was from my 2nd Year of the course, the Integrated Project. This involved stripping the sound from a 1-minute video clip and redoing all the audio from scratch. This includes all dialogue, sound effects, Foley (everyday SFX such as footsteps, handling of objects, etc.) and music.
The original clip is from The Big Lez Show, an Australian YouTube series made by one guy who animated it in Microsoft Paint, wrote the music, and voiced the majority of the characters in it. I wanted to capture the same vibe, so everything in this clip was done only by me.
I have made better sound design projects since, but this project really opened my eyes in terms of my own abilities, and the fun of sound design for video. But most importantly it was incredibly fun to produce and I’m proud of it.
