Venatrix

Ventarix is a modern day fantasy based 2D/3D animated teaser trailer co-directed by myself and Jessica Cheeseman. This trailer follows the story of the two characters Kace and Jayde as they spend a day on a nature trail, however they must deal with a menacing creature on their walk home.

This trailer showcases the inciting incident that kick starts the plot in the much larger story that is Venatrix. The 2D and 3D blend is a mix of my strengths in the 3D medium and Jessica’s strengths in the 2D medium. Venatrix is a story meant for older audiences that love animation and long for a story that they can connect with and relate to, with themes of myths and legends, the transition of teen to young adult, and discovering a secret world.
