This work focuses on the tension between the internal and external forces on the human body and mind. The primitive aspect of our minds and bodies often comes into conflict with external elements, such as the highly evolved civilisation of the modern world, and our higher consciousness. These parts of us struggle to exist in harmony and maintain balance. They can be considered as two opposing minds within one entity, clashing, and merging with each other in constant separation and synthesis.
This fluctuation of forces is at the crux of existence, from individual being to universal matter, playing a large part in shaping the human trajectory. As a species we have always been seduced by the possibilities the human intellect provides us with. We are now also approaching a stage in our development where we must consider the concept of the post-human.
We must consider the consequences of the acquiescence of our primitive past and nature to an era of technology and trans-human possibilities.
