Pass by is a 2D animated short film. This mood piece film follows a girl named Ayda and her journey on a train. However, this journey takes a turn when she falls asleep and wakes up surrounded by monsters. The passengers have been replaced by strange beings in human clothing and the rolling green hills outside are now fading blue mountains. Will she find her way back to her own world, or be trapped in this unknown land forever?
This film has been an idea I have had for a while and developed over the years. I wanted to create a story that would allow people to come up with their own interpretation of it.
It was animated in Toon Boom Harmony with all other drawings and paintings done in Adobe Photoshop. My passion is concept art and visual development work so being able to create a film with many unique characters and two distinct worlds was a dream come true.
