My work is rooted in the observation of rural farming practices. I gather multiple found materials and banal ordinary objects that I come into contact with on a daily basis. I am informed by my familiar relationship with this environment. I draw on its rich but silent history.
By relocating/repositioning (displacing) these objects and stripping them of their usual functionality, I transform them and make evident the array of objects and materials that surround us. Through doing so new possibilities emerge that are not based solely on the original function of the objects.
Through this transformative activity it is my intention to enhance
the imaginative and emotional interdependency with the object, man and the land.
