Colour, Connect & Criticism

Colour, Connect & Criticism explores and discusses the theory and social
psychology behind colours we wear and why we wear them. This editorial
delves into the unique narratives colour can create as it is completely
subjective to each individual.
This editorial is divided into three main sections, Colourology, Social
psychology and Judgement. It goes on to further question what is holding
us back in wearing the colours we aspire to wear. It uncovers raw insights
and reactions into how the colours we chose to wear connect with our
mood, and how we express ourselves.
The aim of this editorial is to help and remind others that in today’s society,
we are judged for everything we do, say and wear whether that is in a
positive or negative way so the hopes of this editorial is to remind readers
to be more open minded. As a human being it is a natural response to
subconsciously make judgements about the people around us. What they
are wearing and how they wear it.
