‘The Boy in The Cuckoo Clock’ is a 2D animated short which takes place within an antique shop. It follows the story of a cuckoo clock figurine who falls in love with an aquarium ornament, a mermaid.

The story begins as an elderly man puts the finishing touches on his new cuckoo clock figurine, a sailor. While the shop owner admires his work, a light from across the room catches the sailors eye. In a fish tank the figurine sees a beautiful mermaid and instantly becomes enchanted by her.

Against his will the sailor is placed into the cuckoo clock where some time passes. Unhappy with the new environment and motivated by his fascination with the mermaid, the figurine leaves the safety of his clock. Travelling across the shop floor the sailor faces new obstacles and challenges he must overcome in order to meet the mermaid. However, not everything is what it seems.
