Assimilation
This is a 2D hand-drawn short film titled “Assimilation.” It portrays our main character attempting to find her wife (a space traveller) on an alien world. We show her journey as she explores a beautiful planet with fascinating environments and bizarre creatures. However, she does not realise there is a looming, parasite-like presence intertwined in the planet’s ecosystem.
This film is made by me (Piotr Chodup) and Iris Aghedo. We wanted to create something meaningful that showed off what we learned in our Digital Animation course, have footage for our showreels and create a project we are proud of. This film is a result of hours and hours of work and effort, and we hope you enjoy it.
