Pilcrow is a design group which promotes and supports a new community of emerging creatives from fine artists to designers. This site showcases a variety of work, articles, and interviews. My objective was to create a site which represented the unique Pilcrow community. My design solution is focused on the key terms: clean, clear, and concise, with all the elements designed intentionally focused on the user’s experience. During the development stages, I tried to acknowledge the design opportunities this service could provide. My core focus is that the design must be user-friendly as well as displaying my work and other creators work effectively. This will allow easy access to the projects and will help provide exclusive insights into the art world through different articles and interviews which will help the community to flourish. The copy “We Are Artists, Designers, Innovators, Teachers, We Are Pilcrow!” summarises the key functions I wanted the user to experience.
