Quo Vadis Sister ? (Where are you going Sister?)

My work explores through the lens of ‘Hauntology’ that ‘ There is presence in Absence ’ aligned with the notion of punctum-a feeling of affinity that one may experience when viewing or holding an object.

My art practice shows how cultural discards , archival documents such as postcards are more than just correspondence, they are traces of human existence that echo longings for connection, which has the power to transcend time and place.

These cultural artifacts are often overlooked by many, for me contain deep meanings and stories that I investigate, examine, and reinterpret through the mediums  into contemporary works of art.

My current series of work is inspired by an album of postcards from the 1920’s & 30’s written by four Irish sisters while on tour in Italy, visiting Museums, Galleries, and sites of Architectural importance to their sister at home in Ireland.
