I have been exploring the theme of connectivity through my involvement with the LSAD Soccer Society. Football, a sport celebrated globally, became the foundation for building an inclusive and vibrant community within our college. I aim to memorialize the space we have created. Demonstrating the moments that have shaped our collective memory. In this project, I aim to embody the spirit of the community we have nurtured, a community where we forged our own identity together. We created our footballing identity together making jerseys and match day posters as a collective. The society acts as both a conversation starter and an anchor point, sparking relationships and providing a consistent, welcoming environment where students can engage. Through my work, I look to honour the memories created within this space. The Monday evening practices, the spontaneous games, the celebrations of victory and the quiet moments of support after defeat. These experiences collectively narrate the story of a community bound by more than just a shared interest; they reveal how simple acts of participation can create human connections. This project is a tribute to the power of communal spaces, the importance of shared rituals and the enduring ability of football to connect people. It reflects how a simple game can create a sense of home.
