The aim of my project this 2022– degree show, will be to completely absorb the viewer or the audience. To an experience of the otherworldly an experience that I once had, which is the driven force to my artwork to date. My point is to capture the encounter, I endured once beneath the depths of water. Utilising light sources sound, installation, sculpture and visual images. I trust that the spectator has a feeling of being immersed on a journey through vortexes and doorways to otherworldly. My art ought to deliver the viewer a sense of being submerged, leaving them with a new view of water and its secrets perhaps, a connection to another world. Using water, light and a digital camera I have captured special abstract shapes and movement of colours in water. These organic images are unique and can only be compared to photoshop effects and apparatuses. Which once viewing my images you will find that the images are not digitally improved, they show the actual colours and are only adjusted marginally. My unawareness of water and its hidden secrets, the unknown of where it precisely comes from has made this project a journey of exploration for me. My artwork captures the mind of the viewer and another way to view the enchantment of water and this extraordinary unexplained life-giving source.
