This documentary follows the lifespan of the Wii U video game console. From its misguided unveiling to its unfortunate end, the full story of the console is chronicled in this retrospective. The first act of the documentary gives the watcher a history lesson on Nintendo’s past, from their inception in 1889, to the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System, and eventually the release of the original Wii, which was the catalyst for what would inevitably create the Wii U console. I also delve into the games released on the platform, the disastrous marketing that killed the system’s chances, and how Nintendo were able to bounce back from such a low point with their next console.
