I  have  always  had  an interest in the topic of surveillance and the feeling of  constantly  being watched.  After researching works by artists that  deal  with  mass surveillance, I started thinking about how I was being watched and how I consciously and sub-consciously allowed myself to be continuously viewed. I thought about how much I indulge in social media and the information I willingly give away to companies like Google, Apple & Meta. I learned what Google and Facebook associated me with and then began to track myself. I recorded my actions and interaction for days and weeks and began to collage and merge imagery from these moments. 

The use of digital imagery was an essential element for me throughout this collection. Every research image began in a digital format and was then manipulated through analog techniques like collage, or  interrupted  through photocopying and  corruption  of files. After exploring all these avenues for inspiration, I decided to create a collection of clothing that would deter facial and body recognition surveillance software. I want to blur, distort, and distract from the figure within the clothing. Covering facial features, extending limbs, and  using fabric  that will distract from the  body  were all important  aspects  in  creating  my collection.
