This collection stems from the everyday presence of different types of masculinity and the rippling effect stereotypes have on a generation. Focusing the six-piece collection on Irish masculinity, this gender fluid collection takes inspiration from sports culture within Ireland today.
The culture based around playing sports for men today, pressure, acceptance, and fear, but also transforming the language of hyper-masculinity and mixing it with popular drag culture.
Exploring both cultures from similarities within each to the opposites.
Fabrics representing a different story between the two contrasting elements. From heavy typical menswear, waterproof, sportswear weights to flimsy for feminine contrasting colours and weights. Connecting garments through small details and the bringing the viewer along the journey of future projection of Irish masculinity.
