I wanted to make this film as a showcase for my work and how I work. I feel like this project might look good as part of my own showreel to basically advertise myself for future employment. I felt this would be a great experience to learn how to be patient with pre-production to perfect your story, get locations, gather crew and actors, and collaborate for opinions before production to try and get potential problems solved. I also want to start pushing my shorts into festivals and I felt this project would be a good start to do so to get recognition. My goal was to make this the best experience possible not only for me but for my crew and actors. I wanted to go in and enjoy the directing experience and to be able to be filled with motivation in the editing suite. This idea always kind of sparked an excitement in me so I felt it was the right project to make for my third year Final Year Project.
