Zostan – is a polish word which means stay. The word Zostan holds a lot of connotations for people it is such a powerful, strong, and empowering word and conjures a lot of emotions for people.
My curiosity with the word Zostan came from an advert in a history journal where they used the term stay in the 18th century when advertising corsets.
The inspiration for my womenswear collection is strongly influenced by these amazing hand-illustrated advertisements of corsetry from 18th and 19th century. My desire is to show how woman`s clothing has evolved from constricting garments to comfortable, luxurious, soft knits.
This eye-catching collection is dedicated to the body-conscious woman. The lady that wears my designs can feel powerful and feminine, she looks sensual and gracious as well as respectful.
My natural tonal pallet of designs add personality to the collection with vertical stripes and seams referencing the seams of corsets that were holding the body up tight and squeezing the rib cage to unrealistic measurements.
Feminine cuts emphasize women’s shape and curves, creates mystery that intrigues and presents control sexiness. Italian quality yarns give the soft feel and touch, golden viscose yarn brings the garments to the next level of luxury.
