Music can enhance the listeners’ visualisation skills and allow them to connect with the characters in a story through the emotions associated with each sequence. These multi-faceted benefits of music are what inspired me to explore the realms of music composition and to be innovative in my creation. Furthermore, I anticipate that by listening to the music composition on its own, the story unravels and emotionally connects with the listener. I aim to explore the emotions associated with melancholy, sadness and anger and feelings of loneliness and acceptance using modern classical orchestration and cinematic/electronic instrumentation. Through thematic development I also explore themes of valor and villainy by creating an immersive and memorable sonic landscape that aims to evoke an emotional response within the listener. The tracks in order are as follows, track 1 “Soul of Kali” track 2 “A Shadows Envy” track 3 “One Last Dance” and Track 4 “solitude”. All tracks were recorded on Ableton using a variety of vsts and all tracks are written and composed by myself.
