Honey, Where’s the Dog?

Inspired by the horrifically imaginative mind of John Carpenter, and combined with a
soft yet simple art style reminisant of children’s cartoons, all to deliver a spooky
short film! “Honey, where’s the Dog” is a short, animated film that took me a few
months to construct from the ground up. It follows a family dog who was enjoying
some water in their bowl, until they hear an unsetteling noise coming from the forest
in the family’s yard! The dog’s protective instincts kick in and it ventures out to the
woods to locate the threat! But what it discovers will change its very being.
The story is short and simple with no dialogue. The actions portrayed in the film
support the storytelling, including the unsettling sounds and music! The entire film
was created with only two software’s, Clip studio paint and Adobe after effects. My
goal was to highlight my strengths within a medium I struggled with throughout my
artistic Carrer!
