SATURN - LORD OF THE RINGS
Saturn, the second largest planet in our solar system, is visible at night to the naked eye as a flickering ball of light. It has long fascinated humans throughout history and across a myriad of cultures. Modern technology allow us to discover a multitude of majestic, yet baffling, attributes which the planet holds, including a gigantic geometric storm which rages at its northern pole, the likes of which have not been observed anywhere else in the universe.
This piece explores Saturn from a range of perspectives, such as scientific and mythological, using the subject matter of each section to inspire its design and style choices. A combination of animation and kinetic typography are used in
the telling of this story about our most intriguing galactic neighbour.
