I is an animation short that explores a dystopian societal narrative as influenced by the writings of Ayn Rand. The Randain philosophy of objectivism, advocating an ideology of selfishness where the pursuit of one’s own happiness and success, no matter the cost, is the primary cultural concern. The notion of individuality is portrayed as struggling against totalitarianism and suggests that within every totalitarian propagandist state there is chance for a small glimmer of hope. This 3D generated world acts as analogy for cultural collectivism, societal controls, and the delicate hope that people can be free like a bird in the wind again.
