In this work, I intend to showcase my technical abilities through expression. I have woven instrumental pieces throughout the body of work, to me most of the time instrumental pieces hold more emotion and convey more feeling than a vocal performance. I wanted to capture that in my selection of pieces.

This work showcases skillsets acquired in my time in Limerick School of Art & Design. These songs were composed on guitar, I enjoy physically composing on an instrument before moving to the electronic elements, I find that it preserves emotion and keeps it human. I use the electronic elements in these to support and enhance the guitar parts. The pieces consist of guitar both dry and with varying synth effects, bass, also electric guitar with an octave pedal, and a variety of electronic MIDI instruments. I explore instruments in a way that conveyed the narrative and emotion I was aiming for.

In my opinion music is such a personal and subjective media, two people can listen to the same piece of music and derive completely different meanings from it, because of this I will leave the emotions and meaning of my work up to the interpretation of the listener and hope they enjoy it.
