The Local
The Local is a documentary film about Shane McGowan and his close relationship with the small Irish town of Nenagh. The documentary contains intimate interviews with Shane’s sister, Siobhan, and a close friend of his, Philip Ryan. The purpose of the documentary was to highlight the importance of community as the town of Nenagh and the people within it helped shape Shane’s artistry and keep him grounded during his rise to fame. The audience get a chance to discover a different side to Shane and hear stories of who he really was off the stage. For this project my role was sound.
Unexpected
Unexpected is a creative short film about a young college student named Ivy who is suffering from loneliness. Her love of drawing is what unexpectedly connects her to the popular girl, Iris, creating a wholesome friendship. The short film is experimental as it has a lack of dialogue and focuses on the emotive soundscape and visuals to forward the storyline. It was shot in TUS Moylish campus and throughout limerick city. For this project my role was sound operator/designer.
Cemented Feelings
Cemented Feelings is a creative photo story with an audio track. The theme of this photo story was statues and how people interact with them. The statues photographed were from all around Dublin inner city. These photographs were then edited within adobe lightroom to add a retro feel. The audio was layered to create an authentic atmosphere of the city.
