Key and Around

My current work explores the end and beginning of transformations. One chapter of life closes, another begins. Inspired by my life experience and previous work in small scale and repetition, I decided to focus on growth. One figurine becoming many, many become one. They are people, and together people are the key to change. On a personal level, the key may symbolize happiness, freedom or hope, key to a new apartment or car, or student protest as a key to change or key to power. More broadly, key stands for life in self-alive, sound and healthy. I see and feel art as a inseparable part of life, transformative, never-ending Journey, healing activity and way of being. My work often blends magic, fantasy and reality, using personal humor to reflect on current social issues andsituations.
