THE LIMERICK SCHOOL OF ART & DESIGN (LSAD) IS A WORLD RENOWNED CENTRE OF ART & DESIGN. LSAD HAS AN AWARD-WINNING REPUTATION IN CERAMICS, FASHION, VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS, KNITWEAR & TEXTILES, ANIMATION & MOTION DESIGN, DIGITAL ANIMATION PRODUCTION, CREATIVE MULTIMEDIA, PAINTING, PRINTMAKING & CONTEMPORARY PRACTICE, SCULPTURE & COMBINED MEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHY AND LENS-BASED MEDIA, ART & DESIGN EDUCATION, SOCIAL PRACTICE, INTERDISCIPLINARY DESIGN AND MA AND PHD RESEARCH IN ART, DESIGN AND CURATORIAL STUDIES.

LSAD, founded in 1852, has a long history of excellence, with famous graduates including artists John Shinnors, Sean Lynch, Donald Teskey, Michael Canning, Diana Copperwhite and Anne Ryan, and designers such as Joanne Hynes, Natalie B. Coleman, Kevin Finn, Karen Morgan and Danielle Romeril.  Its students have won many national and international awards, and it enjoys and excellent reputation for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This reputation is enhanced by its teaching staff, many of them acclaimed practising artists and designers. Over fifty international guest lectures every year inform students on global developments in the creative sector. With almost a thousand students across its campuses in Limerick and Tipperary, LSAD is a busy, active hub of creativity , running a constant stream of exhibitions, events, talks, seminars, and conferences.
